I posted that exact quote to one of my oldest, dearest friends just two days ago. Except I attributed it to Gerald Ford, after doing five to ten minutes of research. It seems the provenance is greatly disputed, with several seemingly respectable websites attributing it to Barry Goldwater. LOL

I told my friend of the confusion, and we ended up agreeing truth has not a single author, but lies are the work of the devil's minions.
