All we really need to remember is when Herschel Grynszpan, a Polish Jew, murdered Ernst vom Rath, the Deputy German Ambassador in Paris in 1938.

The caused the pogrom of Krystalnacht when the windows were broken out of Jewish owned shops across Germany.

Grynszpan was declared dead in 1961. ;)
