Another really good spot is to make a false bottom and use the kick space underneath cabinets/vanities.

That door rack should comply with the federal GFSZA (no guns within 1000 feet of a school) if the gun is unloaded and the rack is locked. But I am not a lawyer (thank God!)

State laws are a whole nother thing.

Well that door panel is pretty nifty but isn’t exactly emergency ready if you are on the driver’s side. That rig is only good if you have a copilot to navigate and be mindful of threats. The best course I have seen is ceiling mounted stuff with quick lock levers that allow the driver to open the door, unlock the arm, and then put the vehicle between them and the threat. I teach indexing during my tactics training class. It’s a fun class to teach actually.
