This is ridiculous as there is no such thing as an assault weapon. All of mine are defensive weapons meant to deter criminals. Whether they be the regular thug life, crazed lunatic, criminal with a badge, or my own military turning on me. Mine are defensive weapons.

If the ATF director cannot define an assault weapon, perhaps he should work on defining what a woman is, as that might be something easier to do.

The DOD defines an assault weapon as being fully automatic, actually with a switch to select single shot, burst mode or full auto.
