Ed Snowden was big news after his Passport was revoked and he got stuck in Moscow. Putin gave him asylum there and his girlfriend seems to have migrated there to be with him. Snowden was the former NSA analyst that blew the whistle on a lot of corruption in that agency.

Putin is also giving free land to anyone who wants to move there. But you need to have a quarter million dollars to qualify. Apparently, there are some former residents of South Africa who have taken him up on the offer. Of course, this means more Russian made farm equipment will be sold.

That surprises me they would set the monetary bar that high, though for Americans, it's basically the cost of the average home. Russia has a shortage of really just one thing, and that's people. I suppose that's a lingering after effect of the enormous casualties they suffered in WW2.

Pretty sure that the original interview was 2 years ago. Maybe the Redacted part was newer. Not positive. Redacted and 105 other channels are on my subscription list.
