When I made deliveries for the gay florist on the north side of Chicago, they always wanted me to march in the Gay Day parade on Clark St., but I never would because I wasn't that way.

When I started working for Illinois State Highways, I was in the Brothers Tavern for a couple of beers after work. On the late afternoon news a human interest story came on. It seemed this guy had found his long lost brother.

It was one fo the designers from the gay florist. I stood up on the rungs of the barstool, pointed at the TV and shouted, "THAT GUY'S A FAGGOT!"

Needless to say, everyone was asking how I knew. I said, "I used to work with the guy. It was the same shop, but we had different jobs." ;)

My dad, or someone else, got hold of one of those when I was a teen. Had a chance to play with it.

My dad came up with a pair of these to play with when I was a kid. They didn't have the cloth cases, and the guy in the video was right about not having your hand on the terminals while cranking. You'd get a jolt similar to a 120V socket.
