Resign?!?!? To hell with that. He's making a pitch to be the next president!
Unsurprising.
The USSR had the same problem with the fossils, or "warmed-over corpses", as Benny called our gerontocracy, before they collapsed in late 1991.
(Edit) I haven't thought about that in over 25 years, but the US collapse seems different. Maybe it's because the Soviet Union was on its way out of communism, and we're on our way in. I dunno, haven't thought about it much.
My old man went back to Chicago with my younger sister about 10 years ago. He just wanted to live in her house and play Grandpa. But she would not allow that. She put him in a nursing home instead.
I figure they would not take him unless she co-signed for him. He had a brain aneurism while he was in there. Medicare paid for the E.R. But he still owed $10,000 at the nursing home.
She is dead now from cancer back in 2016. She didn't make it to 60. The nursing home is sucking hind teat on the $10,000.
Cancer killed my twin sister two years earlier. She is buried in Kentucky near Ft. Campbell.
If only they had both known about Dr. Otto Warburg and his work discovering a cure for cancer during the Third Reich in Germany.
But there is no money in a cure, only in treatment. :-/
