When I lived in Chicago there was no Trump Tower.

If the Holiday Inn is as expensive as $500 for two nights, Trump Tower Hotel is $695 a might without question and the Palmer House even higher still.

Those places are for the high rollers and people that have credit cards. ;)

When I lived in Chicago back in the late 70s, I was in the Standard Oil Building on Randolph Street. I was wearing my new Stetson hat that I had just bought at the Morris Men's Shop at the Stockyard Inn.

I came out od the building and this taxi was going past. The driver had a bull horn and was hollering, "LONNGHORNS! LONGHORNS!". I assumed he meant Texas Longhorns college team at University of Texas at Austin.

It turned out there were quite a few Texans in Chicago. One time I was in Sears at Six Corners on NW side. There was this girl working there who said, "I've seen a lot of people wearing jeans. But you are the first one that looks comfortable in them."

It's just a way of life. LOL
