So why is gold trading for $1820? I don't get it.

If the US Dollar is worth less, why are stocks in both domestic and foreign companies also worth less now, pretty much across the board?

Did math stop working? I mean, I know math is racist and all that, but I didn't realize they could just shut it off.

The FED is raising interest rates as they did in 1981-82 to prevent the value of the dollar from collapsing. When they stop raising rates, all investors will look at gold. Overseas investors will see the value of their dollar holdings decline and sell everything and go for commodities including gold and silver.

I've never seen stocks/bonds/domestic/foriegn/long term/short term/currency/real estate all free fall at the same time/rate.

When I was a schoolboy, we knew that that for the seesaw to work, that fat kid would have to sit closer to the pivot, else sit in the dirt.
