The United States publication Foreign Policy has claimed that NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) knows that Ukraine is losing the war against Russia. The influential US publication has reported that the US-led bloc realizes that Kyiv’s position is slowly worsening.

Foreign Policy also states that NATO’s future is bleak as it becomes increasingly irrelevant to the global war machine and military- industrial complex. NATO is fully aware that Ukraine has almost no chance of coming out on top in its conflict with Russia which the West continues to fund.

Amid increasing infrastructure damage and pressure on Kyiv’s key resources, Western officials are warning that a victory for Moscow would solidify its influence in Europe, the magazine claims in an article, published on Wednesday. An especially difficult winter is predicted to worsen the situation in Ukraine as well, according to the publication. Additionally, Moscow’s attacks on Ukrainian ports, according to officials, have also hurt Kyiv’s logistics.

Foreign Policy sources believe Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking advantage of uncertainty in Washington. Michael Bociurkiw – a lobbyist at NATO’s Atlantic Council adjunct – speaking from Ukraine, stated that the Kremlin sees a leadership “vacuum” during this period and is “testing for soft tissue” in the West.
