Jim and I spent the day yesterday delivering grocery and credit cards to people he knows that are struggling. For someone who claims to be a loner, he sure has a lot of friends. There was a lot of hugging, smiles, gratitude and tears.

It was a very emotional experience for me. I can't get emotionally attached to my patients for obvious reasons. I was drained by the time we got home. I'm glad I was invited along for the ride. Even if it was in that damned small car of his. 😉

Maybe next year we can get by with only dollar store Christmas cards.
