Russian forces repelled 193 Ukrainian army counterattacks at the borders of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in December, inflicting nearly 32,000 casualties on enemy troops, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS on Saturday.

"Here is an analysis of the special military operation over the month. In December, the Ukrainian armed formations continued attempts to halt the advance of our troops. Over the past month, 193 enemy counterattacks were repelled at the LPR borders or 50 more compared to November. The enemy’s losses over the reporting period amounted to about 31,735 Ukrainian militants and mercenaries," the military expert said.
