I’ve worked in general aviation (GA) for over a decade. The FAA is not the only agency that is in the dumpsters. We have to deal with TSA, SEVIS, DOT, NTSB, and VA. Every one of these agencies is in shambles.
With all the funding they get, you would think they would be the best and equipped, but sadly, they are worse than you can imagine.
Wokeness and DEI policies are the common denominator to all of these agencies. These were the only policy changes that were implemented over the past 4 years. Common sense!!!

I used to pick up Air Freight at Chicago-O'Hare in the late 90s. I just can't imagine trying to do that now with the TSA on guard.
One time I walked in and saw one of the drivers I would see regularly. He asked, "What are you doing?" I told him, "I'm sleep walking, man. I'm sleep walking." since I was running so hard.
It was always a Midnight pick up and I wou take the load usually to the Detroit area, but mostly in Michigan. Sometimes though I would take tires to Akron, Ohio and you has to stack them on the sidewalls, or they would get flat spots in the treads. ;)
