Elon Musk’s social network X was hit by at least three distributed denial of service attacks Monday that took the site down intermittently worldwide.

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against 𝕏,” Musk posted. “We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved.”

A DDoS attack is a cyberattack in which multiple compromised systems flood a target, such as a website or server, with excessive traffic, overwhelming its resources and potentially making it inaccessible to legitimate users.

While Musk did not speculate who was behind the cyberattacks, internet sleuths pointed to the notorious hacking group Dark Storm. The so-called hacktivists have been behind numerous cyber attacks and threats, among other things, targeting Israel and its allies following the start of its war with Hamas.

According to the internet monitoring website Downdetector, the DDoS attacks against Twitter began at 6:00 a.m. EST on Monday. By 10:00 a.m. EST, the site had collected over 39,000 outage reports. Some 57% of the X users affected were on the X mobile app, Downdetector reported, with 32% on the X.com website.

Yes, in Morse all the hohos have to do is tap out zeros and ones. Maybe the Poles could spare them an old dial up modem, auw crap in a hat the Russians took out the telephone trunks a week into this having been the ones who installed the system back in the sixties and updated through touch-tone they knew what to hit.

When I was a kid, circa early/mid 70s, I was a member of the GTE (General Telephone, now Verizon, I think) Explorers (Scout's) group.

We got to see the insides of the downtown exchange with all the rotary relays/solenoids or whatever they were called and stuff. That was some cool shit until I figured out what girls were all about.

Now that I'm an old fart on SS retirement, I spend 1800 Saturday thru 0500 Monday getting lessons in classical music via Dr. Kimmy, MD.

She plays me like a fiddle for ~32 hours (16 waking), 31 last weekend.

DST has to go...

I was in cub scouts for a while in the later sixties quit going as I was too busy running around in the woods, built a log cabin the summer I was thirteen. Felled every tree with axes, three or four of us would live at the built site had the river right there set a line in the water go to sleep haul the fish cook it on the fire. I miss them days.

I was too busy running around in the woods, built a log cabin the summer I was thirteen.

I built my house (that I'm still in) with a low, low 10% loan (about half the going rate at the time) from my mother.

They say it's worth a lot now. I wouldn't give you a squirt of piss for it, but's it's mine.

Lost the $400,000 (now $1,000,000+) house I put together for my late mom, stepdad and retard younger sister.

Hey, ya win some, lose some. A handicapped joint would be nice, but's it is still too far away from Kim's slaughterhaus.
