There are conflicting claims as to whether Erdogan is a benefit or liability for Israel, or at least whether Israel wants him to stay or leave.

They need him to stay there. Turkey's military is far superior to Israel's. And they have a far superior air defense - the S-400. They could enforce a No Fly Zone and bring Iran, Russia, China and the BRICS nations on board. That would pull Egypt out of the Amrican orbit.
