In the late 70s I was doing newspaper relays for the local agency. When the weather was nice, I would count out the newspapers on the tailgate of my Blazer. Since that truck was such a gas hog I would shut it down and put the headlights out so the battery would not drain down.

One morning a cop flagged me down. He asked, "What are you doing?" I replied, "Newspaper relays for Manor News."

Then he asked his partner, "What's in back?" She replied, "Newspapers."

Then I said, "And you thought it was midnight auto parts." ROTFLOL
