We were already on track for $22 trillion of deficits in the next 10 years.

This Big Beautiful Budget will take it to nearly $30 trillion.

Higher interest rates and a recession could push the annual deficit to between $4 and $5 trillion. Annual interest on the deficit could go from $1.8 trillion later this year to $3 trillion per year in 2027 or 2028.
