China deployed the CH-AS-X-13 hypersonic missile to its nuclear triad in 2025, marking a milestone in integrating hypersonic weapons in all its warfighting domains (land, sea, and air).

In 2017, China became the first military in the world to deploy an operational hypersonic missile – the land-based, road-mobile DF-17, a TEL-launched Mach 10 hypersonic missile with an operational range between 1,800 and 2,500 km.

Since then, China has commissioned more land-based hypersonic missiles (e.g. DF-21D, DF-26) as well as ship-launched and submarine-launched hypersonic missile YJ-21.

With the addition of the air-launched CH-AS-X-13, hypersonic weapons are now deployed across all combat domains. China deployed the CH-AS-X-13 hypersonic missile to its nuclear triad in 2025, marking a milestone in integrating hypersonic weapons in all its warfighting domains (land, sea, and air).

Vectors are additive so add Mach 10 air launched missile to speed of Mach 2 jet. No US military operation could save Taiwan from a Chinese invasion.
