According to multiple reports, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu offered Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA $150 million in cash to adopt an even more ardently pro-Israel stance.

Kirk refused the money.

Amos 5 states, "But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves". The verse is part of a prophetic indictment against Israel, challenging their claim of faithful worship during the wilderness period, which was marked by a covenant relationship centered on obedience and trust in God rather than elaborate rituals.

The prophet contrasts this with the people's actual actions, accusing them of carrying along portable shrines or tabernacles dedicated to their idols, specifically referencing "Sikkuth your king" and "Kaiwan your star god," which were images they made for themselves.

These idols are associated with star worship, possibly linked to the sun (Moloch/Sikkuth) and Saturn (Chiun/Kaiwan), reflecting a form of idolatry that involved the worship of celestial bodies.

The verse is cited by St. Stephen in Acts 7 to illustrate how God allowed Israel to be led into idolatry after their time in the wilderness.
