A long time ago, I was given a book by a dude I had never heard of. He was a French cat named Jean Raspail. According to the back cover, Raspail was a writer and a world traveler. The book was a novel called The Camp of the Saints.
A recurring theme in this work is the defense of traditional cultures, especially those he saw as threatened by modernity and globalization. The Camp of the Saints (1973) is a tale about mass migration to Europe leading to the collapse of Western civilization. (I remember when this book came out.
