Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Monday that Israeli forces have killed at least 80 Palestinians and wounded 303 since October 11, the day after the ceasefire went into effect.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 45 bodies of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks were brought to hospitals over the previous 24-hour period.
The IDF unleashed a heavy wave of airstrikes across Gaza on Sunday after alleging its troops in Rafah came under attack by Palestinian militants, though a White House official told The American Conservative that Hamas didn’t violate the truce and that an Israeli “tank hit an unexploded bomb that has probably been there for months.”

US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff revealed in a 60 Minutes interview that aired Sunday that the CIA was telling him Hamas didn’t want to agree to the Gaza ceasefire deal in the days leading up to the group accepting the US proposal.
Witkoff, who was interviewed alongside President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, said the Arab countries mediating the negotiations were telling him Hamas would respond positively, while the CIA was saying the opposite.

US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack is once again threatening Lebanon with war, this time from Israel, if they fail to meet US demands to fully disarm Hezbollah. He suggested that even hesitation would “inevitably” lead to a major war with Israel, and dire consequences.
This isn’t the first time Barrack has threatened Lebanon with war. Back in July he suggested that both Israel and Syria would conquer them outright and annex Lebanon if they didn’t give in, later threatening to withdraw the Lebanon file from US diplomatic priorities entirely. He also gave Lebanon a 90 day deadline to disarm Hezbollah, and claimed Israel made up that deadline.

US troops will remain at the Ain al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq, reversing plans to withdraw from the military installation, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said on Monday.
According to Stars and Stripes, al-Sudani said about 250 to 350 US military personnel will remain at Ain al-Asad, as well as at the al-Hahrir Air Base in the Erbil Governorate in northern Iraq’s Kurdistan region. (The US can't afford all these wars for Israel.)

A Texas election review has identified thousands of illegal immigrants on the state's voter rolls, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson said Monday.
Nelson said a crosscheck of state voter records found that more than 2,700 possible illegal immigrants were registered on the voter rolls, leading to an eligibility review across the 254 counties.
The data came from a full comparison of Texas’s 18 million registered voters against federal citizenship records in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ SAVE database, according to the Secretary of State's office.

A classic saying among preparedness experts in the US is that America is capable of weathering many crises, but when the food stamps shut down all bets are off. In other words, when the free stuff army loses their handouts, that's when all hell breaks loose.
The US government spends over $100 billion on SNAP programs every year; the largest single food welfare project in the world. It's difficult to predict what an end to SNAP might look like.
One can assume the worst and be ready for a "Walking Dead" disaster in which angry mobs run rampant. Or, tensions might continue to simmer. Many people might be forced to simply get a job, and the welfare subset could decide to adapt. But they probably won't. (Dems are lost 3 votes in the Senate. They can lose more. Trump is up in the polls since the Shutdown. And a lot of cuts will be for illegal aliens who should not be on SNAP.)
