A stunning new report from the House Oversight Committee is sending shockwaves through Washington, D.C., and it could spell the end for Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose sweeping pardon may now be “void” under federal law.
New evidence has emerged that links Fauci to a high-level bribery scheme that sought to bury allegations of a Wuhan lab leak in the early days of the pandemic.
The 91-page document, released Tuesday by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), accuses senior aides of running a “shadow presidency” during former President Joe Biden’s final months in office.
Biden’s handlers are also accused of using the president’s autopen to issue official pardons without lawful authorization.
Among those pardons was Fauci’s, quietly approved at 10:30 p.m. in the final hours of Biden’s presidency by then–White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, with no cameras, no announcement, and no presidential signature in person.

The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, on Wednesday said that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons, pushing back against what he described as persistent misquoting of the agency’s position.
Speaking at the UN headquarters in New York, he said the Iranians “are not, and they were not,” attempting to develop nuclear weapons.
“I want to be very clear on this,” he added. “We are often misquoted about this and people say that we have said things we never said.”
Grossi, who has led the UN’s nuclear watchdog since 2019, said cooperation between Iran and the IAEA has fluctuated in recent months as a result of political developments, but Tehran had nonetheless reaffirmed its commitment to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The National Guard is building a “quick reaction force” (QRF) of some 23,500 troops trained in crowd control and civil disturbance that can be ready to deploy to U.S. cities by early next year, according to a leaked memo reported by multiple outlets Wednesday.
The Oct. 8 memo, signed by National Guard Bureau Director of Operations Maj. Gen. Ronald Burkett, orders the Guard from nearly every U.S. state, Puerto Rico and Guam to train 500 service members. States with smaller populations like Delaware will have 250 troops in its force, while Alaska will have 350 and Guam will have 100, Task & Purpose reported.
A previous Pentagon memo issued in September, and revealed by The Guardian, had mandated that the Washington, D.C., National Guard create a “specialized military police battalion” within it “dedicated to ensuring safety and public order in the Nation’s capital as the circumstances may necessitate.”
