A new study revealed that ultraprocessed foods (UPFs) may be linked to a rise in colon cancers among young people across the globe.

The first-of-its-kind study, which took place over 24 years, found that young people who consumed high levels of ultra-processed foods reported a surge in being diagnosed with adenomas and colon polyps, which often lead to colorectal cancer.

“Those with the highest quintile of UPF intake had a statistically significant 45 percent higher odds of early-onset colorectal conventional adenomas compared with the lowest quintile,” the study published Nov. 13 in the journal JAMA Oncology found.

The study followed 29,105 female registered nurses between June 1, 1991, through June 1, 2015. Male nurses were not part of the study.

I love how Kubrick’s final film, initially met with mixed reviews, is now seen by many as this colossal masterpiece. Christopher Nolan called it “the “2001 of relationship movies.” An apt description for a film that continues to reveal its depth-filled frames some 25 years since its release.

Yesterday, Roger Avary and Quentin Tarantino were on Joe Rogan’s podcast, but there’s one particular tidbit that I want to cover, unrelated to Tarantino, and having to do with Kubrick’s final film. At some point during the chat, Avary claims, as total fact, that Warner Bros interfered with Kubrick’s original cut of the film.

Avary claims that Kubrick’s intended version was meant to have a different ending, one in which Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise’s characters agree to give their daughter away to the two men who are part of the film’s "pedo cult.” (No wonder they changed the ending, particularly decades ago.)

Mother of all data breaches sees 1.3 BILLION passwords exposed... check if yours is compromised

A massive collection of 1.3 billion passwords alongside nearly two billion email addresses has been exposed online.

Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), an online service that notifies people if they were exposed in a data breach, processed the data compiled from multiple sources where cybercriminals had published stolen credentials.

HIBP CEO Troy Hunt, who admitted his password made the list, said: 'This corpus is nearly three times the size of the previous largest breach we [have ever] loaded.'

The dataset includes 1,957,476,021 unique email addresses and 1.3 billion unique passwords, 625 million never been seen before by HIBP. 

With more than 5.5 billion people worldwide using the internet, researchers warned that everyone should change their passwords as a precaution.

This Orwellian crackdown, driven by vague “communications” laws, has turned Britain into an international embarrassment, with forces devoting more manpower to policing opinions than protecting citizens.

Compiled from Freedom of Information requests to 39 police forces, the data shows 9,700 arrests in 2024 alone under the Communications Act 2003 and Malicious Communications Act 1988.
