A wild wolf wandered into a pet store, then did the most “dog” thing possible and melted everyone watching.

Late one night in Oregon, a pet store was quiet and nearly empty when the security guard noticed movement near the entrance. At first glance it looked like a large husky that had slipped inside, but the longer he watched, the more he realized it wasn’t a lost pet. The build was bigger, the posture was different, and the eyes looked unmistakably wild. The wild part is what it did next.

Instead of tearing through aisles or panicking, the wolf slowly padded over to the dog beds, sniffed a few like it was comparing options, then climbed onto the softest one and curled up like it had finally found the perfect spot.

The guard called it in, and wildlife rangers arrived to handle it safely, keeping the store calm while the wolf stayed relaxed on the bed for a while longer. Eventually they guided it out and released it back toward the forest without anyone getting hurt.

I HATE Daylight Savings Time

Grok explained how it all started.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) in America first officially started on **March 31, 1918**.

This was established by the **Standard Time Act**, signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on **March 19, 1918**. The Act also formalized the U.S. time zones.

Why was it introduced?

The primary reason was to **conserve fuel and energy** during **World War I**. Germany began DST in 1916 to reduce the need for artificial lighting (and thus coal/electricity use) as part of the war effort, and other European countries followed. The U.S. adopted a similar approach to save resources for the war, allowing people to make better use of natural daylight in the evenings and reduce evening lighting needs.

That was a good call. Refried bean dip for burritos it is then. I was lucky to get her pinned down this fast.

It's not super labor intensive, just takes a long time.

My day clock says it's half past Saturday (solar noon) at 1245.

Tomorrow, real (high, solar) noon will be at 1345 (an hour and three-quarters out of whack) and it will be daylight at night.

It wouldn't be so bad if Indiana was on central time.

At least I won't have any discombobulated livestock or dogs to deal with their milking and feeding schedules being messed up tomorrow.

f Keir Starmer wasn’t pissed before … he certainly is now! Trump outmaneuvered him in regards to Hormuz.

Great Britain thought they held all the cards when they ordered Lloyd’s of London … the world's only insurance market large enough to back the value of the global oil fleet … to stop insuring them is they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

This move had the potential of crippling 20-30 percent of the world’s oil attempting to get thru the 21 mile chokehold. Why? Because there is only one company in the entire globe that is big enough to insure all the oil tankers going through this strait. Up until now, that company is Lloyd’s of London.

One needs to understand how Britain bit off its nose to spite its face … it’s because the oil being delivered thru Hormuz is responsible for about 2 percent of the British Empire’s GDP, over a $40 billion contribution to the United Kingdom and 50,000 jobs, but it’s also a geopolitical tool for the UK.

Then SUDDENLY … POOF … Starmer decided they were no longer going to insure anyone going through the Strait, which would have halted all energy shipments. It was kind of a giant ‘middle finger’ to President Trump to confuse and distort the energy markets and make America look bad.

But our

played his ‘Trump card’ and said that the United States government will start insuring these shipping companies.

And with the return of ‘double Middle Fingers’ back at Starmer, our President said our Navy will provide personal escorts for those ships. Effectively shutting down one of the largest geopolitical tools the United Kingdom has had all the way back to the 1600s.

Additionally, Lloyd’s of London has been affected economically, because getting back online will take more than a magic wand. And, since our US military has traditionally assisted these tankers with going thru the Strait in the past, why would many of the companies owning those tankers want to go back to Lloyds.

Starmer has learned the meaning of FAFO!
