Sources told Tasnim’s correspondent in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in western Iran on Friday that US forces had been conducting a search operation since earlier today to recover the pilot of their fighter jet, which was shot down by Iran’s Armed Forces. The operation involved Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 Hercules aircraft; however, their efforts have so far been futile.

The sources added that, given the reputational damage to the United States in this incident, it is possible that another individual may be introduced within the coming hours as the rescued pilot.

Based on some information, following the destruction of the advanced American fighter jet by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) earlier on Friday, the pilot ejected and landed inside the country.

The IRGC announced on Friday that the second F-35 fighter jet was destroyed in the skies of central Iran by the new advanced defense system of the IRGC Aerospace Force. It said the doomed fighter jet belongs to the Lakenheath squadron.

Hundreds of grocery workers are losing their jobs as Albertsons shuts more stores across the US.

The 86-year-old supermarket giant closed 20 locations in Texas, California and Washington, DC last year - and now plans to axe even more locations. founded in Boise, Idaho,

The move comes just months after its blockbuster $24.6 billion merger with Kroger collapsed in court.

Albertson's - founded in Boise, Idaho - operates over 2,200 stores across 35 states under banners including Safeway, Vons and Pavilions.

Two Albertsons stores in North Texas are set to close by the end of April, cutting 138 jobs.

In Washington, DC, a Safeway store will shut in May - putting another 87 workers out of work.

Southern California will lose 135 jobs as Vons stores in Escondido and Redlands close down in April.

The closure of an Albertsons near Riverside in March left a further 75 people unemployed, and a Safeway that closed in Northern California earlier this year axed another 76 jobs.

(Escondido and Redlands have some beautiful neighborhoods,  with a lot of reasonably well-to-do, or decently-doing consumers;  how in the name of heaven stores in those areas could possibly be considered "non-performing" by Albertsons?)
