When we worked on ILLINOIS STAATE HIGHWAYS, I was on N right Patrol in winter. Near end of a shift I a topped at De ny'sz near where I lived to. Get something to eat.
When I came out there was a car at red light. Irc c aught fire and thed guy bailed out with his things
I pulled up behind f x it and cal l Ed it in on radio 
A few minutes uses later a vop pulled up. He got so close to the car the flame as nearly burned the hair off his head.
I open door of truck and step out on fuel tank and holler,  "THERE'S NOBODY IN THERE. HE WENT OVER TO THE. RESTAURANT."
That cop wanted to be a hero. Did he think I would have been sitting in the truck if there's was someone in the car?
When fire department got there they said they thought it was an accident. They had to break out the hose to put out the fire. Since Temps were below freezing, the water turned to ice. Lucky. I was there to salt the road.;)
