It’s with broken hearts that we share that Dax has passed away.

He died at home early this morning, surrounded by his people, in the place where he felt most safe and loved.

Dax was only 5 years old and would have turned 6 this August. There are no words for how unfair that feels. He was a constant in our lives, our shadow, our comfort, our joy and the silence he leaves behind is immeasurable.

To so many of you, he was more than just a dog on a screen. He had a way of connecting with people through his expressions, his personality, and those signature head tilts that so many of you fell in love with. He loved his ball, playing frisbee on the beach, protecting us from deliveries, and yes… stealing a potato chip whenever he could.

We fought for him with everything we had, and he fought right alongside us. In the end, he let go at home, peacefully and quickly, with the people who loved him most.

We’re still trying to process this loss and find our footing in a world without him. Thank you for loving Dax, for following his journey, and for being part of his life.

He was our ‘once in a lifetime’ dog.
