As we saw in April 2025 and March 2026, President Trump is highly attentive to the 4.50% level on the 10Y Note Yield, which we previously labeled as our "policy pivot" point.
At the current pace, we could see 4.50%+ within a matter of days.
Meanwhile, US oil prices are above $108/barrel, gas prices are up another +5% today, and 30Y mortgage rates are at 6.50%+.
The bond market will soon become the center of attention.

The group’s name promises “Peace and Light.” Reality delivered something darker: a closed compound, vulnerable children, and allegations of systemic abuse enabled by Britain’s open-door policies.
This is the predictable result of prioritizing volume over vetting. When integration fails and parallel societies form, exploitation thrives behind closed gates—while taxpayers foot the bill for the cleanup.
In s separate development in north London’s Golders Green, a heavily Jewish neighborhood, a 45-year-old man stabbed two Jewish men—one in his 70s and one in his 30s—in what police have formally declared a terrorist incident. The attacker was seen wandering around targeting Jews and then turned on responding officers, attempting to stab them too. Both victims are stable. Counter-terrorism police are leading the investigation, examining a possible antisemitic motive.

Orleans Parish Sheriff Arrested in Connection with Last Year’s Jailbreak of 10 Inmates
CNN reported:
Almost a year after 10 Louisiana inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail, the Orleans Parish sheriff and the office’s chief financial officer were indicted by a special grand jury on charges of malfeasance and other crimes in relation to the jailbreak.
Ten prisoners housed in the Orleans Justice Center made their escape last spring, maneuvering out of a small hole in a wall and making their way out into the night. All 10 escapees were eventually recaptured, and 13 people were charged with helping the escapees, both inside jail and once they were at large.
Susan Hutson, the current Orleans Sheriff, was indicted on 30 felony charges, including malfeasance in office, filing or maintaining false public records, and obstruction of justice, among other charges, the attorney general’s office said in a release Wednesday.
Bianka Brown, the chief financial officer for the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, was also indicted on 20 similar felony charges of malfeasance in office, filing or maintaining false public records, and obstruction of justice, according to the attorney general’s office.
