Oil company CEOs are saying the US will run empty in less than 60 days.
The US stores its Strategic Oil Reserve underground and has to pump in sea water to get it out
so we will soon have problems pumping oil out of our SPT. Whereas, China stores almost all of
its oil in above ground tanks.
The US was told by the Saudis to not attack Iran until after the Hajj (annual pilgrimage season is over on May 30.
They can refuse to let US refueling KC 135 tankers to take off from their soil so they can stop the war on a dime.
Ir the US resumes bombing early in June, they might be in for a few surprises. First, Russia and China have been
upgrading Iran's air defenses so the US might encounter increased air losses.
If Iran upgrades air defenses inside Uraq, then they could stop the refueling tankers and shut down the war.
Secondly, Iran has said they will strike back hard. If they take out the Saudi and Omani pipelines and convince the
Houthis to shut down the Red Sea, they daily loss in oil would go from 13 million to 25 million barrels per day.
That would ahut down the world economy in a few weeks.
Third, Iran has said they could strike US bases as far away as Germany and Romania. I am sure Russia would be glad
to help them select targets, likely bases helping Ukraine. They could also target the US base at Diego Garcia.
They could use is the North Korean Hwasong 15 which has a range of 13,000 Kms.
They could also use the Hwasong-14 which has an operational range of 10,400 km and could take out Diego Garcia
The former missile has a payload of 1,000 Kg which is twice that of the latter though the Iranians could reduce its
range and put in a larger warhead.
Iran would be better off striking the US fleet with smaller payload missiles that would put ships out of commission
without a large loss of life. Sinking an aircraft carrier would result in a nuclear strike on Iran. Smaller might be better
to avoid a nuclear escalation.
