Anthony Aguilar is a retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel and Special Forces officer (Green Beret) who served for 25 years.[6] In 2025, he became known as a whistleblower after making public allegations about operations at U.S.-and-Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid distribution sites in Gaza, where he worked as a security contractor for UG Solutions.[7][8] His allegations of misconduct and war crimes at the aid sites sparked significant media coverage and official inquiries.[9]

Education

Aguilar holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy (2004), an Executive Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington (2008), and a Master of Military Art and Science from the United States Army Command and General Staff College (2014).[4][5]

Military career

Aguilar was commissioned as an Infantry officer in the United States Army upon his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2004.[4][5][10] He served for 20 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and becoming a Green Beret.[8]

During a deployment to Mosul, Iraq in 2006 as a First Lieutenant with the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Aguilar was wounded when an IED fragment struck his face; he credited his protective eyewear with saving his eyesight.[10] His deployments included missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Jordan, and the Philippines.[6]

In 2014, as a Major, Aguilar completed his graduate studies at the United States Army Command and General Staff College, publishing a thesis that developed a new framework for analyzing insurgency and parastatal relationships in conflict zones.[5]

Gaza Humanitarian Foundation whistleblower allegations

In mid-2025, Aguilar worked as a security contractor in Gaza for UG Solutions, which was contracted to provide security at aid distribution sites operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).[11] He resigned from his position after approximately two months, later becoming a whistleblower by publicly alleging severe misconduct.[12][13][7][11]

Key allegations

Aguilar's primary allegations, based on his public statements and interviews, include:

Witnessing contractors firing automatic weapons at crowds of civilians, which he described as "indiscriminate and unnecessary force"[6]

Characterizing the aid sites as "designed as death traps," built in active combat zones and surrounded by razor wire, which he stated violates the Geneva Conventions[11]

Alleging that the aid sites served as "biometric surveillance honeypots," where Palestinians' faces were scanned to identify "persons of interest" for the IDF to target.[3]

Reporting that a young boy named Amir was killed by gunfire shortly after collecting aid at one of the distribution points[12]

Alleging that a woman was killed by a stun grenade fragment, contradicting GHF's claim that she suffered from heat exhaustion[12]

Claiming contractors were armed with armor-piercing ammunition and were in Israel on tourist visas, which he argued violated international law[11]

Describing the aid distribution process as chaotic and insufficient to address famine conditions in Gaza[14]

Aguilar stated that his motivation for speaking out was based on his military training and commitment to "American values," despite claiming that he and his family had been threatened.[15] He testified about these conditions before Senator Chris Van Hollen and coordinated with fellow whistleblower and former Army Intelligence officer Josephine Guilbeau to provide testimony at a congressional hearing.[6][3]

Meet the Democratic Socialist Activists Who Recruited Graham Platner to Run for Senate in Maine (VIDEO)

  As we mentioned last week, Graham Platner was not inspired to run for political office, he was recruited by a pair of activists from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Daniel Moraff and Leanne Fan are a young couple who are both Ivy League educated and met while working for the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2020.

 (He is a political consultant for DSA. Neither one is independently wealthy. They are just bad consultants. They need to hire better

people to vet their candidates.)

 Moraff and Fan have been more willing to discuss their work with Platner. In December, the pair recounted their efforts to recruit a Senate candidate in Maine with Politico, revealing that they only turned to Platner after ironically determining that another prospective candidate, union leader Chris Williams, had “a skeleton in the closet.” They met with Platner’s mother at her fine dining restaurant and then met with Platner himself, deeming him “exceptional.” After huddling with another left-wing operative, Morris Katz, who has advised Osborn and New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, Platner launched his Senate bid.

Moraff and Fan told the Wall Street Journal that they were unaware of many of Platner’s scandals before they were reported by the news media, though they had paid a research firm “a whole chunk of money” to vet the candidate.

“Did the vetting process turn up the tattoo that became so controversial?” interviewer Aaron Zitner asked. “No,” Moraff responded. “The Reddit posts, did that turn up in the vetting process?” Zitner followed up. “The firm sent us a thing, and it had some of the posts, but it didn’t have all of them,” Moraff said. “Yeah,” added Fan.

These people have recruited other candidates to run in other parts of the country. This is what the DSA is doing now and they have every intention of taking over the Democrat party.
