US quantitative easing may mean 20 percent dollar drop: Gross
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA: The dollar is in danger of losing 20 percent of its value over the next few years if the Federal Reserve continues unconventional monetary easing, Bill Gross , the manager of the world's largest mutual fund, said on Monday.
"I think a 20 percent decline in the dollar is possible," Gross said, adding the pace of the currency's decline was also an important consideration for investors.
"When a central bank prints trillions of dollars of checks, which is not necessarily what (a second round of quantitative easing) will do in terms of the amount, but if it gets into that territory --- that is a debasement of the dollar in terms of the supply of dollars on a global basis," Gross told Reuters in an interview at his PIMCO headquarters.
The Fed will probably begin a new round of monetary easing this week by announcing a plan to buy at least $500 billion of long-term securities, what investors and traders refer to as QE II, according to a Reuters poll of primary dealers.

I've had season tickets for quite awhile and I cannot recall the fans being quite as riled up as we were for this game...although I heard it was like this when we upset Florida State in '95. Place was packed and it was special because I brought both my kids and Jake--my three-year-old--was simply enthralled with the "gazillion people"...LOL!! The Missuz was feeling a bit under the weather so my parents and I took the kids so Mommy could catch up on some rest.
Funny little story...one of my best friends from college was supposed to go but backed out at the last minute and now I know why. His father is a huge DemocRAT Donor and very much behind Mark Warner's ill-fated bid fer Governor (Earley 60%-Warner 35%...SITYS!!)...well, my buddy had told me that his dad was going to be in the Wachovia Luxury Box with Douglas Wilder (Louis--my buddy's Ol' Man--was Governor Wilder's Number One contributor when he had won that race and Mark Warner was Wilder's Campaign Manager) and, possibly, Mark Warner was gonna be there as well.
Anyway, I left my parents watching the kids for a few minutes and ventured over to try to sneak into the Wachovia box and stir up some trouble...LOL!! Security's extremely tight, so I knock on the door to the Luxury Box Concourse and give them a schpiel about my friend not being able to make it to the game but my needing to speak to Louis. Next, some DemocRAT Press Manager comes out to talk to me and I smooth-talk him into runnin' and fetchin' Louis...LOL!! Well, Louis comes out and greets me as an old friend--he's an Architect/Developer, too, and I used to work for him--and I thought I'd about had him snowed enough to let me in the Wachovia Box when I let him know of my intentions for visiting said box, "Louis, I heard y'all got a bunch of high-falootin' Lib'ral DemocRATS in there and I just wanted to razz 'em a bit!!" Louis says, "Mudboy, yer a Republican?!" I said, "Hell yeah, Ol' Man, you'll never catch me voting or contributing to the campaign of one of them there Socialist Big Guv'ment Whores!! Bill Clinton most certainly committed multiple felonies and obstructed justice in the Monica Lewinsky matter. A morally-weak, spineless Senate was not up to the task of removing him from office, making a mockery of our Legal System as the #1 Law Enforcement Officer in the land is master-minding a relentless attack on The Rule of Law; however, it is clear that Clinton is "Guilty" (beyond all reasonable doubts) of multiple felonies and SHALL BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE!!
Since escaping Justice in the Impeachment Trial, Mr. Clinton has been credibly accused of Violent RAPE by one nice woman, Ms. Juanita Broaddrick. Either this is a major slander against the good name of an innocent man...or else Bill Clinton raped and violently bit the lip of this young woman. If it wasn't true, don't you think the Rapist-in-Chief would have come out a bit more strongly in his own defense?!
Now, we come to find out the President of the United States is most likely guilty of TREASON, for accepting illegal foreign campaign donations from the Communist Chinese in exchange for basically offering a free run of our Nuclear Weapons Labs and authorizing high technology transfers through key Democratic National Committee contributors, Hughes and Loral. Corruption never ran as deep and as wide as is the case with Slick Willie's Administration!!
Yes, when it comes to brazenly flouting the laws and mores of this Country, this Clinton Cadre of Corrupt Communist Co-Conspirators is charting a new course. Yet, the blatantly Left-Wing Media can't find the time or the manpower to investigate/report the Truth about Slick Willie's Felonious Behavior, the "dark side" of the man who could violently rape a supportor and suggest as he left, "Better put some ice on that, baby!" No, our "Free Press" cannot even find it in themselves to report on the TREASON committed by Bill Clinton, in which each and every man, woman, and child in America is now significantly more at risk than 8 years ago, simply because Bill Clinton needed some illegal contributions to retain his tenuous hold on the reins of Power.
We've seen how ridiculous the Yugoslavian State-controlled Media Propoganda Machine looked in the recent conflagration in Kosovo...who amongst the Media Poltroons can explain to me the difference between Osama bil Clinton's Media and Slobo's or bin Laden's?!! Fortunately, the Network drones are becoming irrelevant!
