They haven’t learned anything from this election. Oh well, makes it easier for a 2nd Term for President Elect Trump in 2020.

House Democrats re-elected Nancy Pelosi as their leader Wednesday, ratifying the status quo in a changing Washington despite widespread frustration over the party’s direction.

That disenchantment manifested itself in 63 lawmakers supporting Pelosi’s opponent, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, in the secret-ballot vote. That was by far the largest defection Pelosi has suffered since she began leading House Democrats in 2002.

Still, the California lawmaker had declared ahead of time that more than two- thirds of the caucus was supporting her, and she won almost exactly two-thirds with 134 votes. It was a testament to her vote-counting skills and to her ability to hang onto power even in dark days for Democrats, as they confront a capital that will be fully controlled by the GOP next year.

I met LM for a lovely lunch a few years back when I was out on the West Coast for biz...she is, indeed, a Mom and I am, indeed, a man...she may have thought me a little odd because we met around 1 and after going to bed around 11PM the night before I got up @ 330AM to work NY hours...so I may have been a little buzzed from a lack of sleep...so there may have been some misplaced laughter from me...

I had a very good dungeness crab *wrap* that garnished with tomato, red onion, lettuce and some sort of avocado based dressing...

IIRC, I had one beer and then a couple Arnold Palmer's...

I don't remember what LM had...but I do recall we had quite a pleasant time in each other's company...
