U.S. $100 bills in circulation hit an all-time high last year, according to new data from the Federal Reserve out this week.

Meanwhile, overall global demand for cash is slowing down.

Some say the surge in $100 bills in the past decade may be a sign that global corruption is alive and well. These high-denomination bills tend to be the currency of choice for criminals because there’s no transaction record, and total anonymity.

Demand for high-denomination U.S. bills is not slowing down, despite less demand for cash in general.

The amount of U.S. $100 bills across the globe in circulation hit its highest level in history last year, according to new data from the Federal Reservereleased this week. That total grew by about 7 percent, or $92 billion year over year, to a record $1.3 trillion worth.

If so, it bodes well for crypto.

I got an email from a woman who told me she was on a joint U.S./U.N. mission in Syria. She told me they came upon a huge cache of U.S. Dollars and her share was $3 million. She said she needed help getting it out of the country. I smelled a scam coming on so I deleted the message. She did send me a nice picture of her holding a bull pup rifle though. ;)

I'll pick me up ten this week. I'm planning a road trip to the Arkansas Derby.

If I knew how to handicap I could pay for my trip, but alas...

I think I'll play numbers...1,3,5 and see what happens.

All paper notes will disappear before we know it.

The Digital Cashless Society is nascent but underway already.
