I was out on snow and ice one time. I was at my turn around point at the County Line. I looked and traffic was a quarter mile away. So I pull out and start to spread salt. Next thing I know somebody hits me on the left side.
This guy was trying to pass me and hit the left fuel tank and knocked it off the mounts. The spring hanger poked a hole in it and there was diesel all over the road.
I jumped out of the truck and ran over to the car. It was a Camaro. The right wheel and suspension was pushed up against the fire wall and the engine was purring like a kitten. I reached in the car and pulled the keys from the ignition.
When the ambulance got there, one of the firemen said he was really messed up (drunk). I told that to the cop who came there. He said, "That's all I need to know." He went to the hospital and ordered a blood draw.
I found out this low life was living at home and had nothing. So much for that. I took a week off on workmen's compensation since I was pretty shook up.
