President Donald Trump comforted the brother of fallen police officer Ronil Singh with some powerful words Thursday.

Singh’s life and death weighed heavily on Trump’s recent visit to Texas as the president continued to call for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump was accompanied by Reggie Singh, whose brother was gunned down on Dec. 26 by an illegal immigrant. Officer Ronil Singh, 33, was killed after he stopped a car on suspicion of drunk driving.

The driver was 32-year-old Gustavo Perez Arriaga, a Mexican national who was living in the U.S. illegally. At the time of his arrest for Singh’s murder, he was reportedly fleeing to Mexico.
