Without listening or watching, I will unequivocally call b.s. to the premise.

We are entering a Grand Solar Minimum. Sun radiates less heat. Sun blocks fewer cosmic rays (nuclear particles) due to a reduced solar magnetosphere allowing more particles to strike the earth causing more volcanoes and earthquakes.

Earth's magnetosphere is also reduced allowing Jet Stream to wander causing floods like in the Midwest and droughts in other regions. Both reduce crop production.

I'll go back to the presentation: I ignorantly thought it was talking about something else altogether. (And I generally like reading information much more than watching it.)

During the Maunder Minimum the sun radiated less heat. Wheat prices rose 400% in the UK.

But Dr Valentina Zarkhova has noticed that more significant than the slight global cooling is the reduction of the sun's magnetosphere. This allows more cosmic rays (nuclear particles from distant decaying stars) to strike the earth. The New Madrid fault had a major quake during the Maunder Minimum on 12-25-1699. During the Dalton Minimum, the New Madrid fault had 4 quakes on 3 days in 1811-1812.

Japanese scientists also noted an increase in the number of volcanoes during a Grand Solar Minimum. The likely cause of the increase in both quakes and volcanoes is the increased number of cosmic rays energizing the earth.

We are entering the Eddy Grand Solar Minimum in 2019. Winter 2019-2020 will be harsh. The first of many to come. Also expect the reduced earth magnetopshere to let the Jet Stream to wander about causing wild changes in weather patterns.

I hope that things don't get too interesting on the mother ship.

You live below the 40th parallel (Kansas-Nebraska border.) In fact at 30.2672° N, Austin is almost 10 degrees south of the area where the new frost belt will make growing food nearly impossible for the next 30 to 40 years. We will need victory gardens. I would suggest women who like flowers, begin growing sunflowers. Sunflower seed sprouts will be quite popular within 2 or 3 years because people up north can sprout them indoors.

That would mean that our farmland two counties south of MN could be in deep trouble to make their corn and bean crops. That would really suck for our tenants and us.

Thanks for those geographics.
