Harley Davidson looks like it will be the first company to market with a mainstream electric motorcycle, according to engadget. The company's LiveWire electric motorcycle will soon be on the road and will have a longer range than expected, at 140 miles of city driving on a single charge. But, like any other electric vehicle, you’ll still need to hook it up to a charger once in a while.
According to Harley Davidson's website, the bike will be "available in select dealerships through North America and Western Europe in the fall of 2019. Select additional markets will follow."
The motorcycle has been in the works for more than four years now. You'll be able to charge it with a Level 1 charger at home, or with a quicker Level 2 or 3 DC fast chargers, that'll be available at Harley Davidson dealerships.
The bike comes with seven riding modes that tune the suspension and electric drivetrain differently. It sports anti-lock brakes and a traction control system, along with a color touchscreen for navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

The motorcycle is soon going to be available at a limited number of dealerships and will cost about $30,000. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just three seconds. There is no clutch and no shifting.
Harley Davidson is looking to revitalize its business after struggling with declining sales and an aging client base both in the United States and abroad. Sales of its motorcycles were down 4.2% and international sales were down 3.3% in the first quarter of 2019.

Probably would be a great bike to steal.

2) Electric and therefore silent. Great for burglars.
3) Motorcycle can go place cop cars can't. Great for getaways but hate to have it legally registered in your name. Great item to steal. Lousy to sell theft insurance for.

1)But south of Nashville is mostly white in case the Nationwide Food Riots get out of hand.
2) Far enough away from New Madrid fault so wood frame homes are safe.
3) Rivers go away from that area so no Flooding. Nashville was flooded about 9 years ago. Recently lots of crops were flooded out. But they were near rivers. And that area has some elevation so flood waters would go down hill away from there. Plus plenty of rain for crops and pasture.
4) Politically safe. Gun rights bills fly through both House and Senate. Governor is a Republican. No state income tax.

I'm not so sure they will be able to sell one anywhere unless it comes with speakers that blast V-Twin sounds.

Yeah,I am thinking that is a bit optimistic,too.
2) Electric and therefore silent. Great for burglars.
Not to mention ambulance drivers,trauma surgeons,and undertakers. Noise is one of the few safety features you have on motorcycle because cage drivers rarely notice them otherwise.
Not to mention dogs and children running out in front of you. Still sound like a good idea?
BTW,back when they first came out with electric cars in the early 20's,lots of cities had laws stating that electric cars had to have someone walking ahead of them and ringing a bell to alert pedestrians and animals they were coming.
Those laws might return.
