Ilhan Omar’s Father was Top Propaganda Official in Genocidal Barre Regime — Then He Changed His Name and Entered US Illegally

On Thursday David Steinberg published an extensive report on the alleged crimes and history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and the “Omar” family.

In his report David found that the Omar family changed their name in order to enter the United States.

Best I recall large numbers of Hmong were resettled in Minneapolis in mid/late 70's. Most were brought here because they had sided with South Vietnam/US and it was pretty clear Hồ Chí Minh had no particular love for them. The Cambodians did not fare quite so well.

I found a disturbing stat on Wikipedia:

As of 2000 24% of Minnesota Hmong graduated high school or an equivalent, eight percent had a bachelor's degree and/or an associate degree, one percent had a master's degree or further education. Fifty-three percent of Hmong in Minnesota had never had education.

I remember a joke from late night TV after Sputnik. A comedian remarked after Sputnik was launched successfully and Ike had a missile explode on launch. He said, "You know what this means. The Russian German scientists are better than America's German scientists."

But we made it to the moon and the Russians did not.

They were going about it all wrong. They were trying to use a rocket with about thirty small thrusters.

Our Saturn V rocket was the best and it launched the Apollo Astronauts to the Moon and back. ;)
