Every time I mention traffic tickets or police stops, I get questions and comments about what the police are and are not allowed to do during a traffic stop. When can they search your car? Can they make you get out of your car?

I am not saying I agree with how the law is on this - but I do explain what the law says and does.

When they ask for your drivers license and insurance card, now they have the person and the thing. All they need now is the place. And that is where the infraction occurred. Person, place and thing is all they need to write you a ticket. ;)
