"It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master." -- Ayn Rand

That was for public consumption.

Her real appreciation of mankind was...NEARLY ALL HUMANS ARE BUT MERE LICE WITH BARELY A RIGHT TO LIVE...

Rand was another Russian jew fraud, spouting bullshit that the masses bought.

I wouldn't get my shorts in a knot over it, Cyni.

The masses never really bought this stuff in great numbers. AR's product was lapped up mostly by eggheads. Our demagogues are touting flashier goods these days. Ayn Rand is old hat.

Too olde for that.

Rand railed for life how worthless most humans were...

Yet she died alone in tiny apartment in NYC, living on social security and medicare.

AR spoke perjoratively abou SSI benefits as "handouts" and "welfare," but:

She left an inheritance of somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million; she was not broke at the time of her death.

She took a total of $11,002 in Social Security between 1974 and 1982. I am not certain how much was taken from her over the course of her life, but it was more than that. She did so because Social Security is a legalized Ponzi scheme, stealing from the young to give to the old, and she was stolen from. Whenever the State offers an opportunity to obtain a partial restitution, victims should take it.

Rare person that puts more in than they take out.

At inception of SS there were about 25 putting in to each person taking out. Now the ratio is 3 to 1. Soon SS will be a welfare program.

Rare person that puts more in than they take out.

When I worked for State of Illinois on Highways in winter time, we had to do shift changes every week so everyone got a shot at the over time.

Sometimes those weekly checks would run around $1,200. On weekends there was no night shift and we had to work 18 hours Saturday into Sunday and Sunday into Monday. Shifts changed at 1330 hours on Saturday afternoon. It was blood money and the deductions were horrifying. Saturday into Sunday was always time and a half. ;)

"""Ayn Rand is the patron saint of the libertarian Right. Her writings are quoted in a quasi-religious manner by American reactionaries, cited like Biblical codices that offer profound answers to all of life's complex problems (namely, just "Free the Market"). Yet, despite her impeccable libertarian bona fides, Rand defended the colonization and genocide of what she called the "savage" Native Americans -- one of the most authoritarian campaigns of death and suffering ever orchestrated."""
