Anybody heard about this? A young blonde suffering from terminal self- worship pulled off a heist of worse than Madoff proportions, because it involved the health of thousands of people.
Because she babbled the "save the world" BS top "liberals" love to hear most, and because she turned herself into a black-clad beauty queen, she managed to line up H. Kissinger, G. Shultz ad inf as the board of her totally fake med-tech operation -- and they all made heavy investments in it. Fittingly, everything about Theranos was very Soviet-Socialist -- spying, bodyguards, extreme secrecy, elitism, tyranny.
At the cost of vast suffering to innocent people the fraud was revealed almost four years ago, and the thing came crashing down --leaving main fraudster Elizabeth Holmes and her Paki ex-beau facing 20 years in jail -- and Kissinger et al out billions of shekels.
BUT.... this colossal ponzi scheme is dead as a subject. Further revelations have to be coming forth -- where are they in news headlines? There are lots of documentaries and youtubes but it's virtually extinct in the MSM. Judging from the clinking pianos and mournful moogs featured in the shows' soundtracks, I conclude it's because of the altruism and idealism she constantly mouthed, promising sick folks rainbows and gumdrops.
If you're smelling gefiltefish, it's because Holmes' mother comes from the Fleischmann's Yeast family.
This scam is often called a medical Enron, which is accurate. Curiously, her father was an Enron VP.

Am always trying to sniff out the real McGuffin = some idea of people medically harmed by Holmes and company. 21:05 in said video: when it all came down, 10 patients sued Theranos for medical battery. The damage has to be much more widespread -- a few more here, at least (WSH sub required):

That Theranos woman had to know she had a boondoggle and she roped in some big names with some big money to follow it.
The House of Cards fell as she knew it would. It was the same as what Bernie Madoff had going. She could not pay off those who put money in after the high rollers had staked the company big time. ;)
