Greenland is a magical place where somehow snow melts even though there are permanent icebergs floating around it.
The Danish have refused to acquiesce to our modest proposal.
Lets see how that works out for them.
RT:
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has labeled the idea of selling Greenland to the US as absurd, after President Donald Trump said Washington may look into purchasing the icy island.
The suggestion of selling off Greenland, a Danish dependency, will not on the table any time soon, Frederiksen told newspaper Sermitsiaq during a visit to the island on Sunday.
Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is not Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland. I strongly hope that this is not meant seriously.
Greenland made headlines last week after reports that Trump had on multiple occasions brought up the idea of purchasing the island from Denmark. The president later confirmed that he would be interested to discuss this issue. Strategically for the United States, it would be nice, he said.
I think we need to keep all options on the table.
And by that I mean military intervention in order to liberate the people of Greenland from the oppression of Denmark.
A war of conquest against Greenland would be much better than a war of Jewish aggression against Venezuela or Iran, because it would actually be funny.
We could really heck up their darn faces.
And this would serve as a steam valve for the boomer desire to be at constant war as well as an outlet for Trumps cabinet of neoconservative shills who are compulsively obsessed with death and destruction.
It can be done. They can be liberated. We can take this pointless territory and turn it into a beautiful monument to American ingenuity, just as weve done with the Puerto Rican colony.
We will bring democracy to Greenland once and for all, and if anyone tries to stand in our way, its over for them.

How far-fetched is Trump's plan to buy Greenland? | DW News - YouTube, 8.5 minutes [@ 0:27, This would not be the first time that an American President has purchased territory from another nation. In fact, much of the United States was created that way. | 1803 - the Louisiana Purchase was bought from France. | 1819 - the Florida Treaty with Spain added that territory. | 1867 - President Andrew Johnson bought Alaska from Russia. | The U.S. has reportedly tried to buy the island (of Greenland) before. After WWII, (U.S.) officials secretly offered Denmark $100 million in gold bars.]
Trump expresses interest in purchasing Greenland: report - YouTube, approx. 1 minute segment @ 4:42- 5:35 [Notes: Greenland has important Geostrategic meaning for us. We have a very large airbase there above the Arctic Circle that is a big part of our Early Warning Missle Defense System. In 1946, (Democrat) President Harry Truman offered to buy Greenland from Denmark, which controls it - for $100 million (in gold bars). Denmark turned it down.]

It sounds like Greenland can't be purchased from Denmark because it's not Danish and belongs to the people of Greenland. So, the people of Greenland are the ones to ask by vote if they'd be interested in becoming a part of the United States territories through a land purchase agreement, rather than Denmark being the negotiating nation of decision and treasury-controllership from the purchase agreement.

That does sound tyrannical and demeaning of Greenland's sovereignty status -- forgetful or disingenuous, too, since he also said authoritatively that "Greenland is not Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland."; like he would not permit Greenlanders any chance to speak by voting on the issue, much less have Denmark ask them by vote if they'd like to be a U.S. Independancy. While he's the Prime Minister of Denmark, perhaps we should send him reminder notes occasionally with words to the effect that "All of our airbase in Greenland by officialized agreements are belong to US!" -- not to him.

Who signed those airbase agreements with the US--Denmark or Greenland?

It's a Pittuful web of Denmark's hostility towards America ever since WWII, seemingly for nothing other than helping to liberate that country from German Occupation: Treaty agreement denunciation; moves to oust us from our US and Canada (aka NORTHCOM) Greenland installations and take them over; Denmark mucking up our protection of Greenland and North America by joining NATO, then arranging for NATO to defend an assigned area of Greenland by using our facilities - even though Greenland isn't a NATO member country except indirectly through Denmark's control of it; intriguings that may also have included France spilling the beans internationally on our secret Arctic location:

President Trump tweets image of new Trump Tower on the shores of Greenland | Fox News Video, 26 seconds
Respectfully wrote: "I promise not to do this to Greenland!" above the pic - which looks like a massive gold bar that landed there vertically on beachfront property, but it's not really a gold bar. It just looks like one. I don't know if we even still have any of those here but we can probably find or mint some silver bars, if Greenland would like to consider becoming a non-dependancy of Denmark and a U.S. Independancy instead. : ]

The Danes sat on their hands while Europe was falling, let the Germans in without a whimper, fed the German army during a long war, thousands of Danes joined the Wafen SS. There was a German weather unit stationed in Greenland during the war.
The Danes, Swiss and Spanish did very well during WW2.

And there it is. It's not enough to inflict Islam and Muslims on them, you want them to remain democrats.
What do you have against the Danes? AFAICT,they have been harmless since they bled out their good genes hundreds of years ago, leaving only castrated sheep that look like men running the country.
Be merciful and allow them to keep Greenland. They are going to need some place to go to get away from the Muslims because they obviously don't have the balls necessary to fight them and toss them out of Denmark.

They might not have liked the Germans, but at least the Nazi's were firm masters that didn't mind dominating them like the sheep they are. The Danes DID like that, and they miss it.
Now that the USSR no longer exists, they didn't even have a potential master available to take the place of the Nazi's,so they started inviting Muslims in to take over control and crack the whip for them.

Unlikely if they look at the state of other US dependencies like Puerto Rico, the US Virgins or what happened to the Philippines once we got hold of them.
I don't know whether they are happy under the Danes or not. I was there a few years back but the subject never came up. I also visited the Faroes, also a Danish dependency, and got the impression that they would prefer independence.

Not sure if they are allowed to determine that for themselves. Might be an EU rule. I do know the Poland and Hungary have been threatened with EU sanctions for not allowing in all that want to come.
(Unspoken reason for Brexit.)
