2 Dead and Up to 20 Injured in Shootings in Midland, Tex., Officials Say

Two people were killed and up to 20 others were injured in shootings in Midland, Tex., on Saturday, the mayor, Jerry Morales, said.

He said the shootings began shortly after 4 p.m. local time, with two or possibly three gunmen targeting motorists on Interstate 20 and Highway 191, which connects Midland to Odessa, Tex.
“They are shooting at random,” Mr. Morales said. “We have two fatalities and up to 20 injuries.”
Mr. Morales said one of the gunmen had been wounded but it was not clear how.
The mayor said in a text message: “One suspect is in custody. I’m not sure if he is alive.”
The mayor added that a rifle was used in the shootings, though he could not be more specific about the type or number of firearms involved.
One Midland police officer was grazed by a bullet, he said.
Mr. Morales said law enforcement officers were trying to keep drivers off the highways.
The police said on Facebook that they believed there were two gunmen in separate vehicles.
“One suspect is believed to be at the Cinergy in Midland and the other is believed to be driving on Loop 250 in Midland,” the police said. “The two vehicles in question are: gold/white small Toyota truck and a USPS Postal Van. Please stay away from these areas and stay indoors.”
The police in Odessa, Tex., about 20 miles away, said on Facebook that a gunman — or possibly two — was driving around “shooting at random people.”
“At this time there are multiple gunshot victims,” the police said. “Everyone is encouraged to get off the road and use extreme caution! All law enforcement is currently searching for the suspect and more information will be released as soon as it becomes available.”
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin said on Twitter that law enforcement authorities were trying to “locate and contain a shooter.”
The university directed that students “stay in your dorm or office and do not open your doors.”

I heard Greg Abbott wants a Constitutional Convention. If one is convened there is nothing to keep them from getting rid of our current Constitution and instituting a totally different form of government.
Remember that in 1789 the Con Con was convened ostensibly to rewrite the Articles of Confederation. That idea was scrapped in favor of the tripartite form of government we have today.
When the document was presented to the delegates, they refused to sign without a Bill of Rights. The led to the first ten amendments.
The Constitutional Convention in 1789 was convened under International Bankruptcy law. And of course we know the U.S. has again become "bankrupt and insolvent" since the decree signed by FDR on March 9, 1933. ;)

Nothing is ever, EVER organic. Trump just had his little Prayer bullshit for Red Flag Laws, and now out of the blue in Midland Texas of all places, where just about everyone has a gun, this happens. Let me guess, NOBODY RETURNED FIRE.
Nobody returned fire, there were multiple shooters, and soon, we will be dealing with ONE dead suspect while the others in the hit team will escape. Ever get the impression that Antifa and some other paramilitary organization with ties to the deep state are working to undermine the 2nd Amendment?
Why did this happen in Midland Texas?
Right now here in Saint Paul, I am hearing random gun shots. I am beginning to think we are under some kind of siege.
