Next Week: Congress to Discuss Federal ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban

Congress is set to debate another ban on so-called “assault weapons” next week.
The Hill reported earlier this month:
Democrats also plan to hold a hearing Sept. 25 on an assault weapons ban. But the bill's sponsor, Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.), acknowledged the legislation doesn't yet have the votes to pass.
Cicilline’s bill to ban assault weapons currently has 211 cosponsors, which is seven short of the 218 votes needed to pass on the House floor.
Most of the Democratic holdouts on the bill hail from competitive swing districts where gun restrictions may be less popular.
“So we're not at 218 yet, but we're making progress,” Cicilline said.

I agree somewhat. Any revolution would be no match for the weapons the Army possesses. We would be behind the eight ball every encounter. It would turn into a guerilla war.
Do you have a bug out bag and a place to go if the SHTF? Or will you try to survive in place? Remember too, the authorities can shut down the power grid.
What would this do to folks who are out in the boonies and need to pump water?
Food would also be harder to obtain. I talked with an older woman here who told of how things were during the depression in the 30s. She said people in town had it the hardest. Those who lived on the farm had milk and a vegetable garden. ;)

Unless Strump is planning a big turnaround as election-year drama -- "Aw, I was only kidding, you can keep MOST OF your 'assault rifles!' But like Poppy Bush I don't think he cares if he gets re-elected.

Reagan was pressured to take Bush the Elder as his Veep. It was not long after there was an attempt on Reagan's life.
There was an attempted assassination against Reagan on March 30, 1981.
The man who was charged, John Hinckley Jr. was institutionalized until September 10, 2016.
There was, however, a strange link between Hinckley's family and the Bush family. ;)

Many years ago American Free Press did a multi-page spread on members of the Bush family who have govt jobs. It was all manner of people nobody's ever heard of, with pictures. They're devil spawn!

If I recall correctly, Marvin Bush was in charge of Security at the Twin Towers on the eve of when the planes hit them.
Maybe some people were allowed in who should not have been allowed into secured areas. Remember, those Towers fell at nearly free fall speed. They would need some help to do that. Steel and concrete high rises can never fall from a fire. Physicists have analyzed the whole charade. ;)
