A Mexico mayor has been tied to a truck and dragged along the streets by angry villagers who were protesting unfulfilled campaign promises.

Jorge Luis Escandon Hernandez, the mayor of Las Margaritas in the state of Chiapas, was taken by a mob of residents from his office.

The residents were compelled on Tuesday to carry out the attack after storming the mayor's office and demanding he fulfill his promises to the community, according to El Heraldo de Mexico.

In Chicago this would never have happened since the Alderman would be on top of things and get Streets and Sanitation to do the necessary work.

And it would help more in you were with the Democrat party since they have ruled Chicago since the late Richard J. Daley ran things.

Me, I was with the opposition. My maternal Grandfather worked with the late Republican Alderman John J. Hoellen. Hoellen said of him, "He was the good Democrat among us." ;)

That town was in Chiapas state which has been in rebellion. The farmers armed themselves and ran the police out of town in some areas.
