My wound specialist told me recently, "The Cipro did not work, so we will try this Augmentin.

According to the link it is Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. Amoxicillin is much weaker than Cipro, but the clavulanate potassium supposedly prevents the bacteria from becoming resistant to antibiotics.

Unfortunately, the bacteria is already resistant. It seems like hit or miss with this guy. Why do you think it is called a "practice"? ;)
