Police in America steal more from Americans than burglars. She was not charged with a crime but the DEA kept the money.

On its face, terrible injustice.

However I suspect DEA may have checked dates of issue of the paper money.

When I drove for one outfit out of south Missouri, one driver was going thru a scale house in South Dakota. He was driving the tractor that me and my co-driver usually drove.

A dog keyed on the truck and they stopped him. They climbed all over the boxes of flowers in the trailer.

When they ran his I.D. they found he had a warrant in Texas and had him extradited. It must have been a felony since they would not do that over a misdemeanor. The thing to keep in mind is this could have happened anywhere, even a traffic stop. :-O

It cost extra to run a background check. This was a small company with 3 or 4 trucks. They needed drivers so they put him on. ;)
