The Pentagon announced yesterday that 64 US troops have now sustained injuries as a result of the 8 January Iranian missile retaliatory attack on two military bases in Iraq, revising once again how many servicemen were hurt, despite US President Donald Trump initially denying any personnel were harmed and later downplaying the seriousness of the injuries as “headaches”.

“The diagnosis we have so far to date is mild traumatic brain injury [TBI],” General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters.

According to Stars and Stripes, of the 64 troops diagnosed with TBI, 39 were “treated and returned to duty”.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the number of injured troops had been significantly raised to 50, up from the 34 figure revealed the week before and the 11 reported on 17 January. The total number could rise further according to Milley as TBIs can take time to manifest.

TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) can result in permanent injury without blood.

Severe concussion can do that. Iranian missiles will do that too. ;)

No.

Eddie Slovik said he could not stand the constant concussions and noise of battle. Ike had him shot.

Dont cheapen the Purple Heart.

I have friends and family that still carry shrapnel around inside their bodies from past wars.

Patton threw them the hell out of the hospital, they were there because the constant noise bothered them".

After Ike shot Slovik, the concussion problems disappeared.

When I lived in Chicago, they were showing Pakistani movies at the local movie theater.

I put an M-80 with a cigarette timer on the fuse. I lit it and walked over to the bar across the street to watch.

When it blew, 3 or 4 people came out on the fire escape to see what was going on. Of course, no one was around. LOL

Imagine the headaches Palestinian children and their families must suffer through when Israel launches rockets at them.

TBI has nothing to do with either shrapnel or shell shock. It is damage to the brain.

Quite aware of that.

Not new theory yesterday.

Facts...Ike and Patton took care of such and the " brain damage ended.

Edward Slovik was executed for desertion during war time. That happens. There is a difference between peace and war. He was a replacement soldier who saw no combat. He ran away. Unfortunately for him this was during the Battle of the Bulge so Ike used his execution to frighten other soldiers who were thinking of desertion. Patton slapped a Jewish private.OK for Gentiles to die for Jews in a war the Jews started but not OK for a Jewish private to be slapped by a General.
