You saw the boy scouts in the video. They were assigned to care for one elderly man each. Their job was to prevent any deaths to mar the occasion. They boys did their job. But that was 1938.

That would have been difficult if not impossible after Gettysburg was over. Lee's Army was decimated. ;)

No. He was told to avoid the battle and head straight to DC. He could have burned the town to the ground and sent Union civilians north to block the Federal Army. Burned the town to the ground and stolen supplies. Might have ended the war.

That's neat link NN. Have you ever been to that bookstore? It is not far from Kennesaw.

You know when they passed that local ordnance that all law abiding citizens must have a firearm that crime in not only Kennesaw, but surrounding towns dropped as well. It just shows you what the power of the gun has done. An armed society is a safe society.

And remember, during WW II, the Japs were considering invading mainland America. Yamamoto had attended University here. He told them, "It would be a bad idea. There would be a man with a rifle BEHIND EVERY BLADE OF GRASS." ;)
