At least Bernie's secretary didn't die from bumping her head on the desk.

We were working a concert at Medusa's in Chicago. It was on Sheffield about a mile south of Wrigley Field. It was on 2nd floor and a long flight of stairs down to the street. If you had to throw someone out you could not do it if they were out of control.

I grabbed this guy for trying to get onstage. He was pretty wild going out with his arms raised up. I got him out the door at top of stairs. I try to take his legs out from under him. It didn't work. So I reverse it and slip him into a half Nelson and grab his right arm that was free. I moved him over 5 or 6 feet and thumped his head on corner of wall by ladies room entrance.

That brought him down a few notches. You know what he said to our guy at the bottom of stairs? "Where is the nearest liquor store?" That would have been the one at corner of Belmont and Sheffield about a block away.

You think maybe he wanted to kill the pain? ROTFLOL

Al was sitting there taking tickets. He said to me, "Tex, he was a big boy. You really man handled him." ;)
